Description
These are six aluminium alloy screwdriver bit holders, each with a 1/4 inch hex shank and a quick release collar, supplied on keyrings in six colours for $17.99. A bit clips into the holder, the holder clips onto a drill or a keyring, and you stop losing bits.
Anyone who owns a drill knows the problem: the bit you need is the one that fell out of the case in the boot of the car. A holder on a keyring solves it for the bits you use constantly - the PH2, the square drive, whichever one your flat pack furniture uses - by keeping them attached to something you are not going to lose. Six of them means one for each of the bits you actually reach for, colour coded so you can tell them apart without reading the tiny stamp on the shank.

What's in the Box
Why Choose These Bit Holders
-
Six colours - colour code your common bits instead of squinting at the stamp on the shank.
-
Quick release collar - bits go in and out with one hand rather than being wrestled out of a chuck.
-
Standard 1/4 inch hex - fits the shank size nearly every driver bit is made in.
-
On keyrings - the bit you use most stays attached to something you carry.
-
Aluminium alloy - light enough to live on a keyring without being a nuisance.
What Fits a 1/4 Inch Hex Holder?
Almost every driver bit sold for a power drill or an impact driver uses a 1/4 inch hex shank, which is why it is worth knowing the size. Phillips, pozidriv, flat, square, Torx and hex bits all come in it, in both the short 25mm and longer 50mm lengths. What will not fit is anything with a round shank, an SDS shank or a proprietary fitting. If you already own a driver bit set, the bits in it are almost certainly 1/4 inch hex and will fit these holders.
Are Bits Included?
No, and it is worth being clear about that up front. You are buying six holders, not six driver bits. The holder is the part that grips the bit and gives you something to attach to a keyring or clip into a drill; the bits themselves are sold separately and most people already own a set. If you want a complete tool rather than an accessory, our snowflake multi tool keychain has screwdriver points and spanners built into one piece.
Do They Work With an Impact Driver?
They are aluminium alloy, which is light and does not rust but is softer than the hardened steel used in impact rated accessories. For hand use and normal drill driving they are fine. For sustained impact driver work - driving long screws into hardwood, for instance - a hardened impact rated holder will last considerably longer. The manufacturer does not state an impact rating for these, so treat them as general purpose rather than heavy duty.
Buyers are people who assemble flat pack furniture regularly, cyclists and caravanners who want a driver on the keys, tradespeople who want their most used bit permanently to hand, and anyone who has bought the same PH2 bit three times.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are driver bits included?
No. You receive six holders only. Bits are sold separately.
How long is each holder?
The manufacturer does not publish a length - their specification says only "as shown". Contact us before ordering if the length matters and we will measure one.
Which six colours are they?
The manufacturer states six colours but does not name them. Please refer to the product photographs.
Will they fit my drill?
They have a 1/4 inch hex shank, which fits standard drill chucks and hex quick change chucks.
Are they magnetic?
No magnetic rating is stated by the manufacturer.
Are they impact rated?
No impact rating is published. For heavy impact driver use, a hardened steel holder is the better choice.
Do you ship Australia wide?
