Description
This flat mop and bucket set has two sides inside the bucket - one to wash the pad and one to wring it dry - so you never touch a dirty mop head or tip out a bucket of grey water by hand. It costs $54.99 and comes with three microfibre pads. Dip on the wash side, drag across the dry side, and keep mopping.
The problem with a traditional mop is that after the first room you are pushing dirty water around. Rinsing means wringing a filthy head by hand or with a lever that flings water everywhere, and most people simply do not rinse often enough. A two sided bucket makes rinsing something you do every few square metres because it takes two seconds and your hands stay dry. The lid also stops the splash back that makes people give up on rinsing altogether. It is the difference between mopping a floor and moving dirt around it.

Why Choose This Flat Mop System
-
Your hands never touch the pad - washing and wringing both happen inside the bucket.
-
Wash and dry sides separated - you rinse into dirty water and wring against a clean surface, so the pad goes back down cleaner.
-
Three pads, not one - swap to a fresh pad mid job and wash them all together afterwards.
-
360 degree head - it turns into corners and under furniture without you lifting and repositioning the whole mop.
-
Packs into itself - the handle comes apart and stores inside the bucket, which is why it fits under a sink.
How Is a Flat Mop Different From a Spin Mop?
A flat mop uses a rectangular pad on a swivelling plate, so it covers a wide strip in one pass and slides flat under kickboards, beds and couches. A spin mop uses a round head in a basket and is better at scrubbing into an uneven surface such as textured tile. Flat mops generally leave less water behind, which matters on timber, and they get closer to edges and corners. For flat modern floors - tile, vinyl, sealed timber, laminate - a flat mop is usually the faster tool.
How Should Microfibre Pads Be Washed?
Machine wash them warm with detergent and no fabric softener, and that last part matters more than anything else. Softener coats microfibre fibres and destroys the electrostatic grab that makes them pick up dust - a softened pad smears where a clean one lifts. Wash them separately from lint shedding items such as towels, and air dry or tumble on low. Treated this way a set of pads lasts a long time; treated with softener they stop working after a few washes and people blame the mop.
Can It Be Used on Timber Floors?
Yes - the manufacturer lists timber, tile and marble. The key with sealed timber is water volume rather than the mop itself: wring the pad properly on the dry side so it comes out damp rather than wet, and the floor should be dry within a minute or two of passing over it. Standing water is what damages timber, and a well wrung flat mop leaves very little behind. On unsealed or waxed timber, check the floor manufacturer's advice before using any damp mop.
Buyers are households with large areas of hard flooring, people with back or knee problems who want to stop bending over a bucket, renters after a compact system that stores under a sink, and anyone replacing a string mop that never seemed to get the floor properly clean. It also sells well to pet owners, who mop far more often than everyone else.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many pads are included?
Three. Please note the previous product title said two - the manufacturer's package contents list specifies three microfibre pads, and that is the figure we have used. If yours arrives with a different number, contact us and we will sort it out.
What size is the bucket?
The manufacturer does not publish a capacity, mop head size or handle length for this set. We have not invented figures. Contact us before ordering if a specific dimension matters and we will measure one.
Are replacement pads available?
Standard flat mop pads of the same style are widely available. We do not currently list a dedicated replacement pack for this model.
Does it need cleaning solution?
No. It works with water alone, or with your usual floor cleaner if you prefer.
Can the handle be shortened?
The handle is segmented so it can be taken apart for storage inside the bucket.
Is the bucket sturdy enough to sit on?
No. It is a cleaning bucket, not a step or a seat, and has no weight rating.
Do you ship Australia wide?
Yes, to every state and territory including regional and remote addresses.
Fast Australian Shipping
We ship from Australia to Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Hobart, Canberra and Darwin, plus regional and remote addresses. Orders placed on a business day are picked and dispatched promptly, with tracking emailed to you as soon as the parcel leaves us.
Bucket capacity, mop head size and handle length are not published by the manufacturer. Always test a damp mop on an inconspicuous area first, particularly on timber, and follow your flooring manufacturer's cleaning advice. Do not use fabric softener on microfibre pads.
