Description

These Confetti Balloons are 30cm latex balloons with sequin confetti sealed inside, from $7.99 for 10. They come in rose gold, pink, blue, yellow and clear with matching or contrasting confetti, plus a Ruby Red option that is a different construction entirely - see below.

Everyone has seen the photo where the confetti sits in a sad pile at the bottom of the balloon. That is not a faulty balloon; it is a static problem, and it takes about ten seconds to fix. The trick is in the third section down, and once you know it these look exactly like the styled photos.

Why Confetti Balloons Photograph So Well

  • Depth in a flat shot - sequins catch light at different angles and stop a balloon reading as one flat blob
  • Confetti is sealed in - nothing to clean off the floor afterwards, unlike loose confetti
  • Coordinated combinations - the confetti colour is matched to the balloon rather than left to chance
  • Mixes with plain balloons - a few confetti balloons through a garland of plain ones does the whole job
  • Two pack sizes - 10 for a table cluster, 20 for an arch or a full backdrop

How Do You Get Confetti to Stick Inside a Balloon?

Static electricity, and this is the whole trick. Inflate the balloon, then rub it briskly against something that builds charge - a jumper, a carpet, your hair, a cushion - for ten or fifteen seconds. Then shake the balloon so the confetti lifts off the bottom. The static holds it spread across the inside surface, which is the look you have seen in photos. If you are using paper or tissue confetti rather than sequins, touching each piece before it goes in helps too. Humidity works against you, so on a very humid day expect to re-rub the balloons closer to the event.

What Is a Macaron Ruby Red Balloon?

It is a different build to the others and worth understanding before you order. The Ruby Red is a double-layer thickened metallic balloon with a black balloon fitted inside it. That inner layer is what gives the deep, saturated jewel colour rather than the washed-out pink you get from a single-layer red. It is 25cm rather than 30cm, and it is available in the 20 pack only. If you want a rich colour rather than a pastel, this is the one.

Do Confetti Balloons Float?

Not reliably. The confetti adds weight and the thicker latex of the metallic options adds more, so helium lift is marginal and varies with how full the balloon is. Plan for air fill and display them in a garland, an arch, a cluster taped to a wall, or gathered on the floor - which is the current styling anyway. If you do want them floating, have them filled firmly with helium and test one before committing to the whole pack.

Buyers are styling birthdays, hens parties, engagements, baby showers and weddings, and photographers building backdrops.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the confetti already inside?
Yes, sealed in during manufacture. You do not add it.

Why is my confetti stuck at the bottom?
It needs static. Rub the inflated balloon on a jumper, carpet or your hair for 10-15 seconds, then shake.

Will they float with helium?
Not reliably - the confetti and thicker latex add weight. Plan for air fill.

Is Ruby Red available in a 10 pack?
No, Ruby Red comes in the 20 pack only.

What makes Ruby Red different?
It is a double-layer metallic balloon with a black balloon inside, which deepens the colour. It is also 25cm rather than 30cm.

Are ribbons included?
No.

Are they safe around children?
Latex balloons are a choking and suffocation hazard for young children. Supervise, and discard broken balloons immediately.
