Buying too much light is a real and common mistake. A 500 or 800 LED set on a single window is not more impressive, it is just a tangle of surplus strand you have to hide. The 300 is the size that fits the job most people are actually doing, and it costs less to run and less to store.

What Size Curtain Do You Need for One Window?
Measure the opening, then remember that the metre figure quoted is total wire, not width. A 300 LED set suits an area of roughly 2 metres by 2 metres, which covers a standard window, a single doorway or a small backdrop. A wide bay window or sliding door needs the 500. A whole house frontage needs the 800, or two 500s. Buying to the area rather than to the LED count is the way to get this right first time.
How Do You Store Fairy Lights Without Tangling?
Wind the header wire around a flat rectangle of stiff cardboard, letting the drop strands lie flat against it, then slide the whole board into a bag. Loose coils tangle; a flat wind does not. Never store them damp, and never store them with the drops hanging loose in a box - that is exactly how strands get pulled out of their joins. If a strand fails next season, it is usually because it was crushed or yanked in storage rather than because the LEDs died.
Can You Join Two 300 LED Curtains Together?
Not electrically - these are not sold as connectable sets, so do not attempt to wire two together. What you can do is hang two side by side and run each from its own outlet or a shared extension board. Since each set draws only 8.4W, several running from one board is no problem at all. Just keep the two control boxes on the same pattern so the animation does not fight itself.
