Pyramids are one of the few resin shapes that genuinely reward the effort. Flat moulds show every bubble on the top surface; a pyramid puts the largest face at the bottom against the smooth mould wall and tapers to a point, which hides imperfections and refracts light through the piece in a way a disc or a cube never does. Sixty millimetres is also a useful size - big enough to set dried flowers, glitter, photographs or trinkets inside without them looking cramped, small enough to cure in a reasonable time.

How Do You Avoid Bubbles in a Resin Pyramid?
Bubbles are the whole game with a deep pour like this. Mix slowly and deliberately rather than whipping air in, and let the mixed resin stand a few minutes before pouring so the larger bubbles rise. Pour in a thin stream from a height into the point of the mould rather than dumping it in. Pour in layers if the resin allows, letting each set slightly - a single deep pour also generates heat, which can yellow the resin or crack it. Once poured, a heat gun or a lighter passed quickly across the surface brings surface bubbles up and pops them. Cover it while curing, because dust settles.
Can It Be Used for Candles and Soap Too?
Yes - silicone handles all of them, and a pyramid works particularly well for pillar candles. For wax, warm the mould slightly before pouring to reduce surface pitting, and let candles cool slowly at room temperature rather than in the fridge, which causes cracking. For melt and pour soap, silicone releases cleanly with no preparation. Use separate moulds for resin and for anything you intend to eat or put on skin - resin residue is very difficult to remove completely from silicone, and cross-contamination is a real risk.
How Should Silicone Moulds Be Cleaned and Stored?
Never with a scourer. Wash with warm soapy water and your fingers or a soft cloth, since anything abrasive scratches the interior and every scratch shows on every piece you make afterwards. For cured resin residue, let it fully cure and peel it off rather than picking at it. Store moulds flat or in their original shape, not folded or squashed under something heavy, because silicone takes a set. Keep them out of direct sunlight and dust free, in a bag or a box.

How many moulds do I get?
One 60mm pyramid mould. Please note the manufacturer's feature list mentions "5 different sizes" - their size specification and package contents both state a single 60mm mould, and that is what we have listed. Contact us before ordering if you specifically need a multi-size set.
What colour is the silicone?
The manufacturer's feature list says clear and their specification says white, which are not the same thing. We cannot confirm which you will receive - please contact us if it matters, as clear silicone lets you see the pour.
Is resin included?
No. The mould only. Resin, hardener, pigments and inclusions are all sold separately.
Is it heat resistant?
The manufacturer does not publish a temperature range for this mould. For hot wax pours, our cube mould publishes a rating of -40 to 230 degrees C.
Can it go in the oven?
No temperature rating is given, so we cannot recommend oven use.
How long does resin take to cure in it?
That depends entirely on your resin. Follow your resin manufacturer's cure times - a 60mm pour is a deep one and will take longer than a thin casting.
