How Many Picks Does a 4cm Box Actually Hold?
Worth being straight about, because compact is the honest description rather than large. A standard 351-shape plectrum is roughly 3.2 x 2.9cm, so they lie comfortably inside a 4.1cm cube, and the practical capacity is somewhere around twenty to thirty medium-gauge picks depending on thickness - a thin 0.46mm pick stacks far tighter than a 1.5mm. That is a working set with spares, not a collection. What Is PLA and Does It Matter Here?
PLA is a plant-derived plastic, most commonly used in 3D printing, and for a pick box it has one relevant advantage and one relevant limitation. The limitation is heat: PLA begins to soften at around 60C, which is well below the temperature the inside of a car reaches on a hot Australian day.
