Description

These LED Strip Connectors are a 10 pack of 2 pin solderless cable connectors for single colour strip, priced at $18.99. They fit 10mm wide strip in 5050, 5730 and 5630 formats, measure about 160 x 15mm, and are female type in PVC.

Two pins, not four - and that is the detail that decides whether this part is right for you. Single colour strip has two contacts, positive and negative. RGB strip has four, one shared positive and one for each colour channel. A 4 pin connector on a 2 pin strip does not simply work with two pins unused; the geometry is wrong and it will not seat.

Why the Single Colour Connector Is a Different Part

  • Two pins - matches the two contacts on single colour strip, where a 4 pin RGB clip will not seat
  • Cable, not a rigid clip - the lead lets you cross a gap or turn a corner
  • Ten per pack - enough for a full run with spares in the drawer
  • Solderless - no iron, no heat, no lifted pads on the flexible PCB
  • Fits three strip formats - 5050, 5730 and 5630 at 10mm width

How Do You Tell 2 Pin From 4 Pin Strip?

Look at the copper pads at a cut line. Single colour strip has two pads, usually marked plus and minus. RGB strip has four, generally marked V+ with R, G and B. Colour is also a clue but not a reliable one - a warm white strip is always 2 pin, but a strip that looks white might be an RGB strip set to white. Count the pads before ordering, because that is the only thing that decides which connector fits.

Why Is This Female Only?

Because it is designed to receive the male end of a strip pigtail or a power lead, which is the common configuration on single colour installs. If your existing lead is also female, you will need a male-to-male adapter to bridge them, the same problem that turns up constantly in RGB systems. Look at the actual ends of the parts in front of you before ordering rather than assuming a standard, because there is not one.

Will It Fit 5730 and 5630 Strip Too?

Yes, provided the strip is 10mm wide and 2 pin. 5050, 5730 and 5630 refer to the size of the individual LED chips rather than the strip width, so several chip formats share the same 10mm board. What matters for a connector is the board width and the pin count, not the chip number. Measure the strip across its width if you are unsure - 8mm strip needs an 8mm connector and will sit loose in a 10mm one.

Buyers are installing single colour under-cabinet and cove lighting, repairing a cut run, and doing caravan, boat and workshop installs.
