Description
This is a 10 pack of male to male 4 pin RGB Strip Connectors priced at $12.99, in black, for 3528 and 5050 flexible strip. They join two female sockets together without soldering - the specific piece that is always missing when a controller and a strip lead both end in a socket.
Anyone who has assembled an RGB setup from parts bought at different times knows this moment: everything is in front of you, nothing plugs into anything, because two components both terminate in the same gender. A male-to-male adapter is a two dollar part that unblocks the whole job.

Why Keep a Pack of These Around
-
Solves the gender mismatch - the single most common reason an RGB setup will not connect
-
Ten in a pack - enough for a multi-run install with spares in the drawer
-
No soldering - push together and it works
-
Fits both common strip types - 3528 and 5050
-
Cheap insurance - a whole install stalled by one missing adapter costs more in time than the pack does
What Is a Male to Male Connector For?
Joining two female sockets. In RGB strip systems the controller output, the strip pigtail lead and various extension cables can each be male or female depending on who made them, and there is no universal standard. When you end up with two females facing each other, this bridges them. It is not an extension - it adds essentially no length - it is purely a gender changer.
How Do You Get RGB Colours the Right Way Round?
Match the arrow or the marked pin, not the physical fit. A 4 pin connector will often push together rotated 180 degrees, and it will still light up - but red will drive the blue channel and your controller's colours will all be wrong. Every strip and connector marks pin one, usually with a small arrow or a plus symbol or the letter R. Line those up. If your reds show as blue after assembly, this is why, and the fix is simply to unplug and flip.
Can You Extend a Strip With These?
No, not on their own - these are gender changers, not extension leads. To physically extend a run you need connector cables with actual wire in them, which we also stock as 10cm 4 pin leads in male or female. A common working setup uses both: a length of cable to cross a gap or turn a corner, and one of these adapters where two same-gender ends meet. Also remember that a longer run means more current, so check your controller and power supply have the capacity.
Buyers are assembling RGB strip setups from mixed-brand parts, extending gaming and TV backlighting, and repairing installs where a lead has been cut.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many do I get?
Ten.
Are these extension cables?
No. They are gender changers with no meaningful length. For length, use our 4 pin connector cables.
Will they fit single colour strip?
No, these are 4 pin RGB. Single colour uses 2 pin.
Do I need to solder?
No.
My colours are wrong after connecting. Why?
The connector is rotated 180 degrees. Unplug, flip it, and match the marked pin.
Are they waterproof?
No.
Do they fit 3528 as well as 5050?
Yes, both.
