Description
These Liquid Chalk Markers are an 8 pack with 6mm tips priced at $22.99, in red, purple, yellow, white, green, orange, light blue and pink. The ink is water based and non toxic, and it wipes straight off glass, windows, LED writing boards, acrylic blackboards and whiteboards.
The one thing worth knowing before you buy: these are for non-porous surfaces. Liquid chalk on a traditional painted or slate blackboard soaks into the surface and can stain permanently. On glass and acrylic it sits on top and lifts off with a damp cloth. Getting that distinction right is the difference between a cafe board you can rewrite every day and one you have ruined.

Why These Work Where Normal Chalk Does Not
-
They write on glass - a shopfront window, a mirror or a car window takes them cleanly
-
Neon on a lit board - the pigments were made for LED boards and glow against the backlight
-
No dust - nothing to brush off a ledge and nothing on your hands
-
Wipes off completely - a damp cloth resets the board, so signage changes daily
-
6mm chisel-width lines - broad enough for headings, and the tip edge gives thinner strokes
Will Chalk Markers Work on a Traditional Blackboard?
Not reliably, and this is the single most common mistake. A traditional blackboard - painted MDF, slate, chalkboard paint - is porous, and liquid chalk sinks into it. It may come off with effort, it may ghost, and it may stain permanently. If you want to use them on a chalkboard-painted surface, test a small hidden patch first and accept the risk. The surfaces these are designed for are glass, acrylic, glossy laminate, LED boards and whiteboards, where the ink cannot penetrate.
How Do You Start a New Chalk Marker?
They need priming, and a marker that seems dead out of the packet almost always just has not been primed. Shake it with the cap on, then press the nib down against a scrap surface and hold it for one to three minutes. You will see the ink travel down into the tip. Keep pumping gently until the colour runs evenly. White is usually the slowest to start because the pigment is heaviest. Re-shake during long sessions to keep the colour solid rather than watery.
How Do You Remove Liquid Chalk?
On glass and acrylic, a damp microfibre cloth is normally enough. For writing that has been up for weeks in sunlight, use warm water with a drop of dish soap, or glass cleaner. Avoid abrasive scourers on acrylic, which scratches easily and will haze. On a whiteboard, wipe it while it is still recent - liquid chalk left on a whiteboard for months gets stubborn, and a whiteboard cleaner or a little isopropyl alcohol will shift it.
Buyers are cafes and restaurants writing daily specials, retailers doing window signage, teachers and tutors, wedding and event stylists lettering mirrors and acrylic signs, and parents using them on glass doors and fridge fronts.

Frequently Asked Questions
My marker will not write. Is it faulty?
Almost certainly it needs priming. Press the nib down for 1-3 minutes until ink flows into the tip.
Can I use them on a chalkboard?
Only on non-porous acrylic or glossy chalkboards. On traditional porous blackboards they can stain permanently.
Are they safe for children?
The ink is water based and non toxic. Supervise young children and keep caps away from toddlers.
Will they wash off in the rain outdoors?
Yes. On an outdoor window they will run in rain, so they suit sheltered or indoor-facing glass.
Can I write on car windows?
Yes, on the glass. Keep them off paintwork and rubber seals, and never obstruct the driver's view.
How much ink is in each pen?
5 grams.
Is white included?
Yes - white, red, purple, yellow, green, orange, light blue and pink.
Fast Australian Shipping

Measurements are approximate. Screen colours vary between devices, so ink colours may differ slightly from the photographs. Always test on a hidden area first - not suitable for porous surfaces.
