How to Set Up an Ant Farm
- Collect 10 to 20 ants of the same kind from one spot in your garden.
- Use the tweezers or dropper to move them gently into the habitat, then close the lids.
- Keep the ant farm out of direct sun, away from heaters, at room temperature.
- Check it each day and note how far the tunnels have spread.
The gel feeds the ants, so you do not need to add food or water at the start. Make a small poke hole in the gel with the dropper to give them a head start on their first tunnel.
