Description

This cordless water flosser has a 220ml tank, three pressure modes, an IPX7 fully waterproof body and a two-minute automatic shut-off, and comes in green, pink or white from $39.99 with fast Australian shipping. It measures 28.1 x 6 x 6cm, weighs about 400g filled, is made from food grade ABS, and ships with four nozzles.

The reason people buy one is almost always that string floss is not happening. Surveys put the proportion of adults who floss daily somewhere well under a third, and the gap is not knowledge - it is that threading floss around back molars every night is fiddly and unpleasant, so it gets skipped. A water flosser takes about a minute, feels like nothing much, and is therefore something people actually keep doing. It also reaches places floss physically cannot: around braces, bridges, implants and permanent retainers, where a string simply cannot be threaded.

Why Choose a Cordless Water Flosser

  • No cord and no counter unit - it lives in a drawer rather than taking up bench space beside the sink
  • Four nozzles - one each for a household, so nobody is sharing a tip
  • IPX7 rated - the whole body is waterproof, which matters for something used over a basin
  • Three pressures - start soft and work up, rather than committing to full pressure on day one
  • Reaches what floss cannot - around braces, bridges, implants and fixed retainers

Does a Water Flosser Replace String Floss?

Most dentists treat it as a companion rather than a replacement, and that is the honest position. String floss physically scrapes the flat surfaces where two teeth touch; a water jet flushes debris out of the spaces around and below them. They are doing related but different jobs. Where a water flosser is genuinely the better tool is anywhere string cannot go - orthodontic brackets and wires, bridges, implants and permanent retainers - and for people with dexterity or reach limitations who cannot manage floss at all. If your dentist has recommended a particular routine, follow theirs over anything written on a product page.

How Do You Use a Water Flosser Without Soaking the Bathroom?

Everyone floods the mirror the first time. The technique is to lean over the basin, put the nozzle in your mouth, close your lips loosely around it, and only then switch it on - and let the water fall out of your mouth into the basin as you go rather than trying to hold it. Start on the softest mode. Work along the gumline pausing briefly between each pair of teeth, and aim the jet at the gumline rather than straight down into the gap. A minute is a full pass. Switch it off before taking the nozzle out, not after.

What Do the Three Pressure Modes Do?

Soft is a gentle continuous stream and the one to start on, particularly for the first week or if your gums bleed easily - and if they do bleed, that is worth mentioning to your dentist rather than pushing through. Strong is a higher-pressure continuous stream for general use once you are used to it. Pulse alternates the flow rather than delivering it continuously, which many people find more comfortable and which makes the 220ml tank last noticeably longer. Most people settle on strong for daily use and switch to soft around a sore area.

Buyers are typically people with braces, a bridge, implants or a fixed retainer, anyone whose dentist has raised their gum health at a check-up, people who have given up on string floss, and households buying one unit for several people to share with their own nozzles.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use mouthwash in the tank?
Diluted, if at all. Undiluted mouthwash can degrade seals over time. Rinse the tank with plain water afterwards either way.

Should I use warm water?
Lukewarm is more comfortable, especially with sensitive teeth. Never hot.

How long does the tank last?
220ml is enough for a full pass for most people, and longer on pulse mode than on continuous.

Can several people share it?
Yes - that is what four nozzles are for. One nozzle per person, never shared.

How long does it take to charge?
The supplier does not publish a charging time or battery capacity, so we do not quote one.

My gums bleed when I use it. Is that normal?
Some bleeding can happen when starting out, but bleeding gums are something to raise with your dentist rather than something to work through.

How do I clean it?
Empty the tank after every use and leave it open to dry. Standing water in a tank is how they grow a biofilm.
