Description
This wooden trivet set doubles as Christmas decor: each trivet has six wooden arms that fold up, and stacked on the round stand they form a little tree. Take one off, push it open into a star about 19 cm across, and set a hot pot, pan, kettle or teapot on it to protect the table. Choose 3, 4 or 5 trivets in walnut or natural wood.
It solves the usual trivet problem of where to keep them. Instead of hiding in a drawer, the set sits on the bench or table as a 21 cm wooden tree, and it looks right all year, not only at Christmas. The arms open to spread the weight of heavy dishes, and fold away again in a second.

-

Two finishes - dark walnut or light natural wood.
How Do You Use a Folding Trivet?
Lift a trivet off the stand, push the arms outwards until they spread evenly, and place it on the table. Set the hot dish in the middle so the arms share the weight. After the meal, fold the arms together and slide the trivet back onto the stand.
Care
Wipe with a damp cloth and dry straight away. Do not soak, put in the dishwasher, or use in the oven, on a hotplate or near an open flame. Rub with a little food-safe oil now and then to keep the wood looking fresh. Natural wood grain and colour vary from piece to piece.
