Description

This monitor arm clamps to a desk and holds a single screen up to 27 inches and 15kg, with VESA 75 and VESA 100 mounting, tilt of -15 to +15 degrees, 360 degree swivel and 360 degree rotation, priced at $55.99 with fast Australian shipping. It is built from SPCC cold rolled steel, weighs 2.73kg, has integrated cable management, and takes a desk up to 7cm thick.

What an arm actually buys you is the desk underneath. A monitor on its factory stand occupies a footprint the size of a dinner plate right where you would put a keyboard, a notebook or a coffee, and it sits at whatever height the manufacturer decided - almost always too low, which is why so many people end up looking down all day. Clamping the screen to the edge of the desk frees that space entirely and lets you set the height to your own eye line rather than to a stand designed for the average of everyone.

Why Mount a Monitor on an Arm

  • Gets the desk back - the stand's footprint disappears and the space under the screen becomes usable
  • Set it to your eye line - height adjustment rather than the fixed height a factory stand gives you
  • Portrait or landscape - 360 degree rotation, which matters for code, documents and long web pages
  • Swing it away - push the screen back or aside when the desk is needed for something else
  • Cables tidied - integrated routing along the arm instead of a loop hanging behind the desk

Is This a Single or Dual Monitor Arm?

Single. The supplier's original product name included the words "dual" and "2 arm", but the package contents list one mount, and one mount is what you receive - so we have described it as a single monitor arm rather than let an ambiguous title do the selling. If you are setting up two screens, you need two of these, and you will want to check your desk has clamping access at two points with enough space between them. We would rather tell you now than have the box arrive with half of what you expected.

Will Your Monitor Fit a VESA 75 or 100 Mount?

Look at the back of the screen for four threaded holes in a square. If that square measures 75mm across, or 100mm across, this arm fits. Most monitors from about 19 to 27 inches use one or the other, and the arm supports both. What will not fit: screens with no VESA holes at all, which some slim consumer monitors and most all-in-one computers lack, and screens using larger patterns such as 200 x 100 or 200 x 200, which are found on larger televisions. If the back is a smooth curve with no holes, an arm is not an option without a manufacturer-specific adaptor plate.

What Desk Thickness Does the Clamp Take?

Up to 7cm, which covers the large majority of desks including most solid timber tops. Two things catch people out. First, the clamp needs clear access to the desk edge - a rear panel, a modesty board, a wall pushed hard against the back, or a cable tray in the way will stop it closing. Second, glass desks: a C clamp exerts significant point pressure, and clamping to glass risks cracking it, so check your desk manufacturer's guidance before mounting anything to a glass top.

Buyers are typically people setting up a home office properly, anyone whose neck aches from looking down at a laptop or a low screen, gamers and developers who want a portrait screen, and people trying to reclaim a small desk.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it hold two monitors?
No. One mount is supplied and it holds one screen. Buy two for a dual setup.

Will it hold a 32 inch monitor?
The supplier's guide is 10 to 27 inches and 15kg. A larger screen may be within the weight limit but outside the intended size, and leverage matters as much as weight.

Does it come with a grommet mount?
The package lists a C clamp and screw fittings. No through-desk grommet option is stated.

Is it gas spring or friction adjusted?
The supplier does not specify the adjustment mechanism, only that height is adjustable. The images show the construction.

Can it mount a TV?
Only within the 27 inch, 15kg and VESA 75/100 limits. Most TVs exceed at least one of those.

Will it fit a glass desk?
Check with your desk manufacturer. A C clamp puts concentrated pressure on the edge and can crack glass.

How much desk edge does it need?
Enough clear access at the back edge for the clamp to open and close - check for cable trays and modesty panels first.

Fast Australian Shipping

We ship from within Australia to Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Hobart, Canberra and Darwin, plus regional addresses nationwide, with tracking on every order.

Holds ONE monitor - a dual setup requires two units. Do not exceed the 15kg load limit or the stated VESA patterns. Verify your desk is solid, stable and rated to take a clamp before mounting; do not clamp to glass without confirming with the desk manufacturer. Tighten all fittings before releasing the screen and re-check them periodically. Screen size guidance is indicative - weight and VESA pattern are the binding limits. Specifications are supplier-stated and may vary slightly.
